LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

On Monday, February 2, 2009, I had the honor and privilege of reading my book, Mr. Worm, to the children at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. I will never forget that experience. It started with an exceptionally warm welcoming by Dorothy Brooks, Child Life Specialist and Melissa Bassham, Special Events Planner. After a short briefing, we were escorted to the first playroom where the children gather to play with toys, read books, play computer games and such. On Saturday, November 1, 2008, I was a guest at the YWCA in Los Angeles where I read my book Mr. Worm at a community event. My experience was endearing as well as inspiring. The YWCA has an overall goal of Family Life that provides supportive mechanisms that will enrich the lives of families served by the YWCA. Our Lady of Lourdes School

School AssemblyOn Wednesday, September 24, 2008, I presented my book, Mr. Worm to the entire student body at Our Lady of Lourdes School at a School Assembly. The school is located in the East Los Angeles area. Our Lady of Lourdes School is a small parish school that services grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The Principal, Annette Olivas, runs the school.
