About

The TEACHER NEWSLETTER was created by Isabel Apodaca in 2008 as a resource for teachers of all grade levels. Through the newsletter, you will receive valuable information and interesting articles on educational issues. In addition, there will be resources that include research on the teaching profession, student achievement, technology in the classroom and more. In this month’s issue, there is an article on how teaching has an important and substantial impact on student achievement. You will also receive creative lesson plans for the classroom. In this issue, you will find a lesson that is ideal for the first day of school that works well with almost any grade level. You will receive teaching strategies such as the lesson on self-esteem that is perfect for grades four through six. Through this teaching strategy on self-esteem, students will have an opportunity to share about themselves, and learn the technique of Positive Self-Talk. Look for helpful information on book writing. This month’s article is on essential writing tips. As a published author, I will bring you tips, ideas, and resources on authorship. The newsletter will also include local events, links to valuable websites, and inspirational quotes.

Along with the purpose of the newsletter, there is the primary goal to enhance the learning of students through helping teachers find the resources they need and to provide teachers with creative, practical and effective ideas for the classroom. Knowing how difficult finding valuable and appropriate activities can be, my mission is to provide the best available. My plan is to work teachers, and authors to offer a wealth of lesson plans, resources, theme units, teaching strategies, and more!

It is my opinion that through sharing the wealth of information everyone will benefit. The ultimate benefit will be to the students whose teachers have invested the time to go through this newsletter and use the tools available.

Thank you for your commitment to education. It is through your efforts and dedication that children have the opportunity to grow and learn.
